Getting my belly button pierced..?

I%26#039;m 15 and I%26#039;m getting my belly button pierced next month for summer.

I have a couple questions though..

1. Will I be okay to swim and stuff afterwards? Obviously with it being summer I%26#039;ll be outside a lot at the beach, in the pool etc. Will I be able to do this straight after getting my belly button pierced?

2. How long will I need to leave the belly ring in for before changing it?

3. Does it hurt bad?

I%26#039;m going to Florida, Las Vegas and California straight after I get it done as part of my summer vacation, do you think it would be best to get my piercing fairly soon and that will give me some time to leave it in etc?

Help is greatly appreciated!

when you get it done, the person doing it will tell you all you need to know, youcan go swimming after, but make sure as soon as you get out of the water you use your cleaning solution ans your sea salt (they will give you some and show you how to do it.) they will also tell you when you can change it...its usually a few weeks. you have to clean it and sea salt it every day.

it doesnt hurt that much. you get all scared and then they do it, and your like, what? its done? its really the clamp they use that hurt. the needle, you can barley feel at all.

yes, get it done soon.
