How do I loose burns?

acording to my brother and mother I am burned just because I did not used to look so black, I was born as a very light brown (almost white looking) and all of a sudden am turning more black in color. I mean I never asked to be more dark but its the sun I am always in the sun. Last year I looked at a pic of my self and I was so light colored how do I get rid of burns?
